Origin Story

Watch the festival grow from nothing.

Germination
January
01Seed

A single seed pressed into dark soil.

Cultivar began as a conversation between two small-batch growers who were tired of watching rare genetics disappear into corporate supply chains. One cold January, they pressed seeds into trays under fluorescent grow lights and decided: this summer, the field would be a festival.

April
02Veg

The crew builds the stage between posts.

By April the plants were knee-high and the farm crew was stringing lights between fence posts, laying gravel paths between rows, and rigging shade canopies from irrigation pipe. Every stage, every vendor tent, every extraction station grew out of the same soil as the plants.

Peak Bloom
August
03Flower

Full flower. The air goes thick.

Peak bloom. The genetics you came to see fill every row — Suver Haze, Cherry Wine, Elektra, and cultivars you won't find named anywhere else. Dispensary buyers walk the rows with notebooks. Home growers crouch to photograph trichome structure. Journalists file copy that still smells like terpenes.

What Awaits

Three days of
field-level access.

No VIP tiers. No velvet rope. Every pass gets you into every row, every demo, every conversation.

Rows of tall hemp plants at golden hour, narrow path between them, sunlight filtering through leaf canopy
Canopy Row Walks

Guided walks through flowering rows led by the growers who planted them. Learn to read terpene profiles by scent before the lab confirms them.

Live Extraction Demos

Watch licensed processors run live rosin and ice-water extraction from that morning's harvest. Ask every question your dispensary rep never answered.

Rare Seed Exchange

Bring clones, leave with seeds you'll name after your property. The exchange table runs all three days.

Hands rolling a joint at a wooden farm table at dusk, fresh herb and papers visible
Small-Batch Rolling Station

Hemp rolling papers, eight cultivars, one long table under the stars. The joints you roll here won't taste like anything from a menu.

August 14–16, 2026

The rows are getting heavy.
Time to find your spot.

Why It Matters

Small-batch growers deserve a stage.

"
The genetics leaving this event matter more to the future of hemp than anything on a dispensary shelf right now.
— Ezra Blackwood, Head Cultivator · Sunstone Hemp Collective
"

I've been buying hemp for three dispensary locations for six years. Cultivar is the only place I've found genetics I couldn't source anywhere else. I signed two direct-farm contracts at the first event.

My wife and I drove four hours not knowing what to expect. We left with a seed packet, a jar of live rosin, and the best conversation we've had in years. The air alone was worth the trip.

Filed my harvest-season feature from the rolling station under the lights. The cultivar I wrote about sold out before the piece ran. That's the story.
